Points of View

Point of view is something that puts scenes in perspective for viewers. First, second, and third person views are used as techniques for displaying different events in scenes throughout films. Point of view is also a great tool for producers because it allows them to shape the audiences opinions of different characters.

First person views are critically for showing what a specific character is viewing for the audience. This sort of view can help exemplify what the producer wants the audience to think of a character. This view can also be used during dialogues so that the audience gets to meet other characters.

Second person point of view is used by addressing characters as “you”. This can help to show the relationships between characters. It can also be used as a tool through which producers create a narrator for their film. A narrator can give insight into scenes and provides a voice that gives the audience guidance.

Third person view is a technique in which a character is being watched from the front or behind as if someone were observing them. This can give the audience a better angle of the character to reveal their actions. A third person view can also give the audience the feeling that they are in the film with the character.
